What To Bring

• Proof of Texas liability insurance: any current Texas liability insurance is acceptable
• Payment: We accept cash, check, and major credit cards. Texas state law requires that payment is made whether your vehicle passes or fails inspection.

What To Expect When We Inspect

Your inspection at Pearland Auto Inspection couldn’t be more convenient. Here’s what to expect.

The state-certified inspector will perform a brake test. All passengers must exit the car, truck, or van so that the test can be performed safely. The inspector will check your horn, parking break, windshield wipers, mirror, steering, seat belts, etc. We will also perform an emission test on the vehicle.

Diesel vehicles and all vehicles 25 years or older require safety inspection only.

That’s it! The testing takes about 10 minutes to complete. Avoid the rush by stopping by in the middle of the month from the 13th to the 26th.
